Medium voltage impedance (Z) isolated static converter ZISC 6.6kV-24 kV medium voltage UPS
ZISC is a high performance and high efficiency power regulation and uninterruptible power supply architecture. It provides extensive grid voltage event protection and continuous clean power supply.
The ZISC architecture is based on the connection between an isolated incoming reactor and a high-performance power converter. This simple approach, complemented by advanced control technology, provides unmatched reliability and performance as well as best-in-class efficiency.
After being isolated from the grid by an isolated incoming reactor, the power converter can continuously regulate and filter grid interference and voltage imbalance without the need for cyclic energy storage. ZISC's high overload capability manages load-related events such as downstream failures and other dynamic reactive current requirements.
Isolated inlet reactors and coupling transformers use medium voltage, while power converters and energy storage devices use low voltage, thus simplifying maintenance.
ZISC, in combination with a variety of modern energy storage devices, offers battery life ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes,
Through the UL certification (UL:Underwriter Laboratories Inc.) The United States Underwriters testing Institute has UL508A certification, customized design solutions.
Product summary
Medium voltage uninterruptible power supply (UPS) provides continuous and reliable power supply up to 24 kV for critical facilities.
This reliable power supply can be used to protect the load while reducing downtime

To ensure that critical facilities are efficient, reliable, and secure, it is critical that end users collaborate with the right technology partners. HiPerGuard is designed with long-term system availability in mind, requiring outage spare parts to be replaced only every ten years, saving time and costs for maintenance teams.

HiPerGuard offers up to 98% efficiency; It reduces potential carbon emissions by 1,245 tonnes over a 15-year lifetime.

The continued growth of the data center industry, especially in the hyperscale sector, has led to a dramatic increase in the demand for power in data center facilities. Large data centers need a power protection solution that can deliver large amounts of power in a very reliable and efficient manner. Medium voltage (MV) level power protection and distribution methods provide the perfect solution. ABB's HiPerGuard medium voltage UPS can be installed in the power supply to protect the entire power supply of the data center, or just the server or mechanical load.

The transition from low voltage (LV) to medium voltage (MV) is a natural evolution of power protection for large critical power facilities. This approach has two main benefits. It improves reliability and reduces the cost of building and operating critical power facilities.

This increase in reliability comes from the medium pressure design method. This method has a larger protected load module, less number of switchgear and better operation mode of medium voltage system.
Installing power protection at the medium voltage level is an energy-saving configuration because the current at that voltage is lower, so the cable is smaller and the loss is lower.
Its parallel power can be extended from 2.25 MW to 22.5MW, allowing idle capacity to be reduced while the load grows, significantly reducing capital expenditure.
System energy reserves can be used for grid support services or peak balancing.
The interval between intrusive maintenance. ABB Ability real-time monitoring ensures uptime.
